The rooms were completely gutted and all non-structural elements removed. The false ceilings and inserted drywalls were removed and the history of the rooms was restored.

The floors in the entrance hall, bathroom and toilet were laid with strips of old marble slabs. A reference to the work of Scottish artist Martin Creed in the Museo Jumex in Mexico City.

The atmosphere of the living room is sacred and monumental, both in the massive architecture and in the unusual choice of materials and artistic furnishings. At the same time, the kitchen is a laboratory of architecture and alchemy.

Vibrant materials such as marble and brass are used for the floors and built-in elements. For example, the dining table – like the floor – is made from marble remnants, with a heavy formal language and large material visibility.

The couch was taken from the client’s warehouse, restored and reupholstered in a GON tartan print. As with Josef Frank, the hand-painted fabric is intended to make the volume of the upholstered couch appear smaller and lighter and to soften the hard contours. The hand-painted check pattern, which is sometimes irregular, is intended to create less frequent and precise repetitions of the motif, giving it a dynamic appearance.
