Design Philosophy and Attitude

I consider myself a traveler in the world of Design, which I understand as multi-faceted, transdisciplinary and -material. In order to explore and experience this world and the roles and agencies of the wild things and wicked problems in it, I seek to expand my knowledge and skills across a manifold of theories and practices. The complex and intersectional challenges of our realities require virtuosity in not just one, but many techniques and technologies. After studying Fashion Design, I built my own practice and label for many years, while continuously crossing disciplinary boundaries into the fields of art, installation and spatial design with a focus on materiality. I consider this the only path to situate myself in a feminist, sustainable design practice and critical design ecosystem, which includes more-than-human actors, active materials, and nature.
